shopping, churches, and strawberry daiquiris

We got off to a late start today and got a cheap breakfast in the city. Sheridin and I happened upon a GREAT store with good prices and merchandise, and then as we wandered the store we happened upon the underground mall. We didn't have quite enough time to do real shopping but we browsed the area and decided it was the best mall ever. This is coming from someone who lives near Tysons Corner, so that's quite a compliment. Props, Montreal.
We had great weather for our walking tour today so I finally got to use my camera! On the way I saw a store or restaurant called Harvey's and that's my dad's name so I just had to snag a picture.
This little section of road reminded me so much of Philadelphia and some of the pictures that my roommate back at JMU took while we were there so I tried to be a little artsy but failed. It's still a cool picture and showcases the feel of the city. Notice that there are actually trees!
I really like tall buildings and this one was so tall I couldn't even get it all in one picture! Ok, I could have but it looked cooler and more impressive when it was chopped off.

We made it to a great cathedral and the architecture was absolutely stunning. The ceilings were so high that I literally needed two pictures to get the full effect. The first picture shows the dome above the altar and the latter shows the altar itself. I didn't light any candles, but they were everywhere in the church and were very beautiful.

After our tour we went to a little Mexican restaurant. I got a huge strawberry daiquiri that cost almost as much as my meal, but it was totally worth it.
This was on the wall of a cd store we went into for a minute after the tour was over. Big names, big talent, worthy of a picture.
